The side motors can be direct-drive, ideal for small and medium-sized shutters with an integrated safety device, or chain-drive, for large rolling shutters with an external safety device. Two types of control are available: deadman, which forces the shutter to move only by continuously pressing a wall button (located near the shutter), and automatic, operated remotely via remote control.
